Public screenings of the YPSI 24-Hour Film Shootout Festival will be held at the Riverside Arts Center, 76 N. Huron Street. The program begins at 4:30 PM, doors to lobby will open at 3:30. Admittance is $5. The awards made by the judges will be announced.
The Ypsi 24-Hour Film Shootout (Ypsi 24) is a community event for filmmakers to create a short film and share it at a community screening that brings
together filmmakers, wannabe filmmakers, and film lovers. And, there will be CASH prizes for the winners!
The Shootout kicks off on Friday, October 5 at 6PM at the Mix Marketplace when registered filmmakers get a list of elements to include in their movie. Once the official clock begins, the completed films must be delivered 24 hours later on October 6.
Filmmakers’ creativity and teamwork capabilities will be tested in this time-restricted production schedule. The Best of the Best will be rewarded with cash prizes, unlimited notoriety, and showcased to the world via WDEE-TV.COM.
