DINING IN YPSILANTI

Ypsilanti has three distinct districts—Depot Town, Downtown, and Campus Town —all serving up delicious options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and everything in between. Whether bellying up to the bar for a juicy burger and fries or looking for something new and exciting in the world of vegetarians and vegans, Ypsilanti’s variety will have your mouth watering in no time!

DRIVE-IN & DINE-IN

>Bill’s Hot Dog Stand doesn’t have a menu. They do a couple things, and they do it well. Your choices are a hot dog with or without chili, onions, and mustard, or a burger. A glass of homemade root beer is also a must-have when you pull into this drive-in.

>Gabriel’s Cheese Steak Hoagies has been serving “great people, great food” since 1959. Specializes in one-of-a-kind cheesesteak hoagies, using ribeye steak, American and provolone cheeses, mushrooms and onions, and red crushed cherry peppers.

>Roy’s Squeeze Inn is an American restaurant serving delicious burgers, BBQ sandwiches, fries, and more! Everything is made fresh to order. “Squeeze inn” today!

>Ypsilanti’s Chick Inn (est. 1953) is a true throwback to a time when carhops brought milkshakes, burgers, hot dogs, and fries out to the curb for Billy and Bobby Sue to enjoy after a rousing evening at the sock hop. The sock hops may be gone, but Chick Inn lives on.

DEPOT TOWN DINING

>Aubree’s Pizzeria & Tavern is best known for its award winning pizza, Aubree’s has since expanded it’s offerings to include pub sandwiches, burgers, tasty pasta dishes and comforting entrees.

>Cafe Ollie is a little carnivore, a little vegetarian, and a little vegan. Featuring dozens of sandwiches, gallons of beer, and mountains of ice cream, all of which makes it 100% delicious.

>Maiz Mexican Cantina brings the fresh flavors of Mexico to Ypsilanti with authentic Mexican cuisine prepared from scratch daily. The chef prepares food from scratch daily using some fantastic local purveyors and local ingredients.  Authentic recipes ensure that you leave stuffed and satisfied.

>Sidetrack Bar & Grill serves up one of the “Twenty Hamburgers You Must Eat Before You Die” according to GQ Magazine. Indulge in local favorites such as beer battered pickles and the Billy Burton Mac Attack, and don’t forget to finish it off with a mountain of strawberry shortcake.

>The Bomber is the perfect place to stop at if you’re looking to over indulge on some breakfast. Home to the “Bomber Breakfast” which features four eggs, a pound of potatoes and a pound of meat. Don’t worry, The Bomber also serves up your “normal” breakfast sized portions too.
