Community Tourism Action Plan (CTAP) Program

2016 Application for Community Partnership Tourism Funding

What is this program?
The Ypsilanti Area CTAP program is a yearly, on-going community-oriented tourism marketing and development investment program initiated by the Ypsilanti Area CVB. Up to a $10,000 funding level may be allocated to each Washtenaw County community to support new and/or enhanced visitor-based programming focused on either or both community promotion and product development activities.

Who is eligible?
Proponent applications can be local community governments or respective government-approved local community businesses or other associations. Funding is provided through the attached CTAP application which is to be approved by the Ypsilanti CVB CTAP Committee.

Monies applied for are to be given on a 20% matching basis. Higher consideration will be given to projects that include more than one vested stakeholder resulting in the leveraging of the grant dollars. Grant denials are at the discretion of the Grant Committee: Ex: Farmers Markets, Contractors for development of site plans, events for strictly local audience.

All CTAP funding applications and attachments are to be received by 5 pm ET, Monday, March 7, 2016. Applicant grant request presentations to take place during the week of March 14, 2016 with confirmed grant approvals by 5 pm ET, Friday, March 25, 2016.
