Ypsilanti Township
Ypsilanti Township has a whopping park system, consisting of 30 parks and recreation facilities, totaling nearly 1,000 acres. The parks range in size from 0.3 acres to 190 acres and provide wonderful areas for informal play, organized programs, or simply to enjoy nature. Many of the Township’s neighborhood parks have recently been renovated with new park and play equipment and added landscaping.
The larger “community” parks provide enhanced facilities including picnic shelters, boardwalks and trails, access to canoeing, kayaking, boating, fishing, athletic fields, courts and restroom facilities.
